To celebrate Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori our new series Tiki Towns will air  on Nickelodeon and Prime kids. Tiki Towns showcases a wide variety of Māori place names and teaches not only the correct pronunciation, but also the meaning and stories behind them. Matakitaki mai!

February 2017:

We are currently working on two projects at the moment. The first is ‘Gate To The Globe’ a series profiling our Maori farms and companies exporting around the globe. For example did you know the wool used to make Wilson tennis balls, the official ball of the US Open comes from Aotearoa! The Te Amokura crew are off to Asia and the Middle East next month to film some of the stories and where the products end up.

This is the crew on their trip to America last month.

Our second project is animation check out the website www.pukapuka.nz where you will see some of the new stories we are developing.

Lastly our documentary Making Good Men which aired last year on Prime will feature in the Doc Edge Festival in May.


Kitchen Kura – Coming Soon

Kitchen Kura, a new cooking show featuring one of New Zealand’s top chefs and co-owner of Boulcott Bistro Rex Morgan will air on Māori Television next month. The show kicks off on Wednesday the 22nd of March at 7.30pm so tune in.
